Most of our carriers provide Home Protector policies that automatically include a full complement of standard features that cover most dwelling, personal property and other structures. The policy also includes liability protection, loss of use and medical payments to others coverage's. You may take advantage of higher deductibles, discounts and credits to reduce your insurance premiums and you can add endorsements to your policy to broaden the protection limits even further.
- Multi-policy - By insuring your auto and home with us, you will receive a discount on your auto premium as well as your homeowners insurance premium.
- New Home - Receive a discount if you live in a new home.
- Premises Alarm - This discount is applied to your premium if you have smoke detectors installed in your home. You receive an additional discount if you also have a monitored alarm system (such as ADT).
- Sprinkler System Credit - If you install and maintain a sprinkler system, you will receive a credit on your homeowner's premium.
We also offer a variety of optional coverage's to meet your individual needs and these can be added to any homeowners policy by endorsement for a small additional premium:
This endorsement increases the special amounts to even higher limits and includes these 3 added benefits:
- Sewer and drain back up coverage. Payment for direct loss caused by water or sewage that backs up through sewers or drains.
- Waiver of deductible shown on the policy declarations page from any covered peril exceeding $50,000 or more.
- Ordinance and Law Coverage.
We cover homeowner's insurance policy and has 100% guaranteed dwelling replacement cost coverage. Very few companies in the industry offer this coverage; instead most companies offer a percentage above the insured amount. See the example below:
Insurance Company X insures a home with a dwelling amount of $100,000 and has a 20% extension on the dwelling. If there is a total loss and it is determined that the home will cost $210,000 to rebuild then Insurance Company X will only pay $120,000.
We insure a home with a dwelling amount of $100,000 with an Ultra cover policy. If there is a total loss and it is determined that the home will cost $210,000 to rebuild, and then we will pay $210,000 in coverage.
Before you can close on a home your loan officer will need proof of homeowners insurance. In order to provide your loan officer with proof of insurance we need:
- A copy of the appraisal
- The Mortgage Clause (The name, address, and loan # of the bank)
- A signed application and a check for the annual insurance premium
The appraisal and the mortgage clause are typically faxed or e-mailed to us by your loan officer. The appraisal is also important for us to have, in order to provide you with a completely accurate quote. Additionally, because we obtain an insurance score, we will also need your social security number for claim check status. If there is more than one owner, then we can use the best score of the two. Once we have these items we can go through an application with you. If you know all the information (see the home quote form above) then it typically takes 15 minutes to complete. If everything seems ok, then we can send, fax, or e-mail you the application. Once we receive the signed application and the check we can issue proof of insurance immediately.
Before we can issue a policy we also need to take a picture of the front and back of the home. Additionally, if the home has had any water claims then we will also need to conduct an interior inspection of the home.
Please note that homeowners insurance does not cover losses resulting from a flood. Sewer and drain backup coverage includes damage for losses caused by water coming into the home from the sewer or drain but not, for example, through the walls of the home. Flood insurance is a special program backed by the federal government. If you have further questions about flood insurance then please contact us. |
